  • Product. The AltoPlex family of 60 GHz wireless bridges, built on an 802.11ay-based chipset with Altowav’s TDMA air interface, includes the D621 distribution/PtP radio with a 2.5GbE port, the three-port C423 client with PoE outputs, the C420 extended-range client, the C410 standard-range client for links up to 250m, and pre-paired starter kits with PoE injectors, letting operators and integrators match performance, ports, and cost to each site.
  • Highest Throughput. The AltoPlex D621 delivers up to 3.8 Gbps aggregate Layer 2 throughput at up to 400m in both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint deployments, on a single 2.16 GHz channel, leaving the other three channels available for neighboring links. Client radios deliver up to 2 Gbps, with sub-1 ms latency.
  • Fast, Easy Deployment. Pre-paired AltoPlex 60 GHz wireless bridge kits ship configured as a point-to-point link with PoE injectors included. Phased-array beamforming scans a 90° azimuth and 40° elevation range to establish links in minutes, eliminating time-consuming manual pointing. Altowav engineers also help customers design links.
  • Modular, Flexible Topology. Each AltoPlex D621 covers an independent 90° sector serving up to 15 clients plus a link to another distribution radio. Operators and integrators aim coverage only where it’s needed and add radios on the same pole to extend coverage, up to a full 360°, while avoiding a multi-sector single point of failure. Distribution links daisy-chain, branch, or form multi-hop paths to route around line-of-sight obstructions from a single fiber point of presence.
  • Lower Cost per Connection. Independent sectors eliminate spending on unneeded coverage, with each AltoPlex D621 spreading cost across up to 15 clients and the C410 keeping shorter links economical. The bridge price includes full throughput, management, and REST API access, with no capacity licenses or controller subscriptions. Auto-alignment cuts installation labor, license-free operation eliminates spectrum fees, and automation reduces administration.
  • Dense-Network Performance. Deterministic TDMA scheduling with reserved client time slots, GPS synchronization across the network, narrow beamforming, and Golay codes reduce co-channel and self-interference, maintaining performance in dense, co-located deployments and letting operators and integrators reuse spectrum as networks grow.
  • Ultra-Compact Form Factor. The AltoPlex D621, C420, and C410 measure 5.9″ × 3.7″ × 1.4″ and weigh 14 oz, with integrated phased-array antennas, and even the three-port C423 is under 7″ square. The radios mount discreetly on streetlights, poles, facades, and rooftops, easing HOA and municipal approvals and minimizing structural and wind load.
  • Edge Power & Device Connectivity. The AltoPlex C423 has a 90W PoE input and two PoE outputs sharing 60W, with up to 60W on one port for PTZ cameras. It lets operators and integrators power and connect cameras, access control readers, Wi-Fi access points, or additional radios without a separate PoE switch.
  • Open Management & Integration. A documented REST API, downloadable from the Altowav support portal, integrates AltoPlex 60 GHz wireless bridges into existing OSS, NMS, and automation tools for provisioning, monitoring, link-health diagnostics, and firmware updates, and lets operators build bulk configuration and multi-radio dashboards, alongside Web GUI, CLI, SNMP v2, and syslog support. Native Layer 2 transparency with VLAN, QinQ, and IPv6 support fits existing networks. Every radio has an integrated GPS receiver, and the D621 and C423 add a built-in, management-only Wi-Fi interface, accessible from any browser, for cable-free field access.
  • Security & Jamming Resilience. AltoPlex links carry traffic in the 57–66 GHz band, far above the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and cellular bands that Wi-Fi and cellular jammers target, so those jammers cannot disrupt them. Narrow beams and natural oxygen absorption give an inherently low probability of interception, and AES-128 encryption, enabled by default with automatic secure key distribution, protects traffic.
  • U.S. Manufacturing & Carrier-Grade Reliability. AltoPlex radios are manufactured in the USA, with die-cast aluminum, IP67-sealed enclosures rated for operation from -22°F to +131°F. Adaptive beamforming and adaptive modulation keep links stable, and redundant rings automatically reroute traffic around a failed link.

Architected for fast, reliable, and scalable deployment

Altowav pairs auto-aligning 60 GHz millimeter-wave technology with compact, carrier-grade hardware – delivering multi-gigabit capacity alongside straightforward outdoor deployment.

High Capacity & Dense-Network Performance
The other three channels in the 57–66 GHz band are available for neighboring links. Sub-1 ms latency supports demanding video, voice, and high-bandwidth network extensions. A single D621 distribution radio connects up to 15 client nodes in a hub-and-spoke topology. Deterministic TDMA scheduling with reserved client time slots, GPS synchronization across the network, narrow beamforming, and Golay codes reduce co-channel and self-interference, maintaining reliable performance in dense, co-located deployments.

Aggregate Layer 2 throughput. Altowav reports aggregate Layer 2 (Ethernet) throughput – the data actually delivered – combining transmit and receive traffic. The AltoPlex D621 delivers up to 3.8 Gbps aggregate on a single 2.16 GHz channel at up to 400m, in both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint deployments.

Modular, Flexible Topology
This eliminates any multi-sector single point of failure. Distribution links daisy-chain, branch, or form multi-hop paths around line-of-sight obstructions from a single fiber point of presence, and redundant rings automatically reroute traffic around a failed link.
Lower Cost per Connection

Full throughput and management are included in the equipment price, with no capacity licenses or controller subscriptions, and license-free 60 GHz operation eliminates spectrum fees.

Fast, Easy Deployment & Integration

This reduces manual pointing and supports rapid, plug-and-play installation. Altowav engineers also help customers design links. Complete Layer 2 switching provides transparent bridging across all Ethernet frame types, including native support for VLAN tagging and VLAN stacking (QinQ), plus IPv6, for straightforward integration with existing network hierarchies.

Ultra-Compact, Carrier-Grade Design

These compact dimensions help AltoPlex radios fit unobtrusively into pole, streetlight, facade, and rooftop installations. AltoPlex radios draw 15W or less, excluding C423 PoE output, and are manufactured in the USA, with die-cast, powder-coated aluminum chassis and IP67 weather sealing for reliable, continuous outdoor operation. Designed to operate from -22°F to +131°F (-30°C to +55°C), with the C423 rated to -40°F, AltoPlex radios withstand exposure to moisture, dust, and demanding outdoor temperatures. Adaptive beamforming and adaptive modulation keep links stable as conditions change.

Security & Jamming Resilience

Narrow beams and natural oxygen absorption give an inherently low probability of interception, and AES-128 encryption, enabled by default with automatic secure key distribution, protects all traffic.
